Sorceress tops the tier 1 damage charts

Posted on September 22nd, 2008 by Chad in BW Fighter

Who says Sorceress’ can’t beat a Bright Wizard in the damage charts? I know damage isn’t everything, but we always seem to win when I can get on a good blasting streak! I took a couple screenshots of my Sorceress, Bik (she’s rank 11, renown rank 10 now), in action:

See, we can too beat up Bright Wizards!

Damn, nearly solo'd Nordenwatch!

To all you aspiring Sorceresses, don’t let the Bright Wizard’s fool you into thinking only they can top the charts. Over time, I’ll be posting some advice to help you achieve the same results.

    Hi Chad,
Nice work on damage and owing bright wizards. I just discovered your website and I think this would be really kool to have as a fellow sorceress players. I am a level 10 as of last night and I have a couple of questions if you can help me. I am fine when it comes to killing mobs (single or multiple) where I am lacking is the pvp area. I have tired to go up with one on one bright wizards and some how they seem to do more damage. I think I am not using my spells right can you tell me what sort of rotation your using and what else can I do to improve my sorceress? I know you said you’ll post some rotation soon which would be awesome. Good Luck with the tool and oh yea please let me know if you need any help with the website or the tool. I am playing on US server Chaos Wastes Sorceress named Jadogarni .

Hey Chaudhry, thanks for stopping by!

Here’s what I do… it’s actually quite simple. Stand as far away as possible, cast doombolt over and over, if it looks like they’re going to turn and run, throw a gloomburst and chillwind at them (and some surging pains if you, but don’t focus on that).

Never start chasing an enemy unless you absolutely are sure he’s alone… you’ll most likely be led back to his allies, and then it’s game over.

Just keep those doombolts flying while at 100% dark magic… don’t use your dhar wind to unload dark magic unless you simply get no healing at all and are very low on health. At that points it’s best to dump your dark magic so you can continue flinging more doombolts.

About the tool, I’ve got it much closer to being done now… I’ve still got a lot more data to enter into it, but the core code has been completed. I need to do some research to see how masteries affect each action. At first release, the tool will be very simple… we’ll work on it from there!

    Thanks again!

Simple. Dont go head to head with a Bright Wizard. They will just detaunt your attack and put up a shield while their DoTs bring down your health and they build up a fireball. Unless you’ve got a healer handy you wont be able to break through their detaunt in time. Only try to out damage them if your sure you arent detaunted. I dont think the BW should have a detaunt and shield. OP much?
