From the Forums: What kills your Sorc?

I love this post by DuWolfy on WarhammerAlliance. He’s asking the question, “What kills you first? Backlash or BW?” Here’s a quote:

Interesting question. For me, it’s mixed, but the backlash is certainly helping the BW kill me. I like to build up my dhar (read: open my can of whoop ass!) as fast as possible (sometimes even spamming Surging Pain just to build it up), and unleash hell on my enemies.

Problem is, I beat myself down pretty good too… and tend to run in PuGs, which don’t really heal that often. So I lead on damage meters, but I freak’n die a lot too! (Note: to all you healers out there, I know you pay the same monthly fee I do, but damn… if you’re gonna play a healer, and least push the heal button a couple times a day).

Of course, the (OP) Bright Wizard’s can really capitalize on my poor Sorceress. Their actions hit hard enough that it can catch you at a real inopportune time. Nothing like a solid fireball up yer ass to finish you off.

So what can you do?

I suppose what others are saying is true. Go with a calamity build, you’ll build up less dhar and do more damage… which is unfortunate, I really wanted to play my Sorc as an agony build and snipe my enemies down.
