WoW and WAR at the same time!?
I’ve been a bit absent from this site for a few days. Sorry about that. The latest changes to World of Warcraft have me playing my Shaman (ugh he needs better gear!) a bit. I wanted to see what was done. I’m liking the changes enough that I will probably be splitting my time between [...]
Learn MoreFrom the Forums: Fetch is OP
It’s abilities like these that piss me off. When a white lion can send his pet in, and “fetch” me from 150ft away, there’s something wrong. Wait, let’s back up here a second. Do you know what fetch does? Well, it’s almost exactly as it sounds. The lion fetches you, essentially pulling you from 150ft away, into the pile of enemies waiting to slaughter you.
It’s really a pile of $h!t. Obviously, it’s on the mind of others as well. Mannacannon on Warhammer Alliance made a good post about it. Here’s a bit of what he had to say:
I spent the whole scenario getting fetched and slain even at distances way past my own range.
The White lion ability “Fetch”(range 150, 10 sec recast). It sends the pet in to punt you to the owner.
I spent the whole scenario getting fetched and gangbanged. The only counter I could think of is stay 200 ft away.
150 out ranges any ability I have by 50%.
We cant go toe to toe with a whitelion and pet at point blank. Not to mention every one around him.

First, I would like to note that Marauder’s have the same spell.
However, White Lions currently exploit theirs. The thing is, the spell can work at an even greater range; whoever is 150ft within the White Lion’s pet will be a potential victim. Essentially, they are able to pull you across the map.
I also think that this is less of a concerning factor in swaying a scenario than it is for Order having anywhere between 4 and 9 Bright Wizards.
ReplyIf I still played WAR, I’d still be pissed about this ability… lol. But now I’m playing a DK in WoW, and they got something similar in Death Grip. The only issue with the Fetch is that it has a crazy long range… other than that, it’s cool.
…and the BW thing goes on… ;(
ReplyI found that if you frostbite the lion then burn him down real fast you can avoid it. The real problem is trying to burn down a lvl 40 lion within a few secs. I personally try to keep my eye on WL and take them out asap so I can start doing my job of taking out order range and healers.
